Manager, Production Engineering (MedTech)

Location: Danvers, Massachusetts, United States of America; onsite production engineering role

Base pay: $102,000–$177,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus and long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop Production Engineers while managing assignments, performance, and technical growth.
• Provide technical support for production operations and resolve manufacturing challenges through data-driven engineering decisions.
• Qualify, validate, optimize, and monitor manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures using IQ/OQ/PQ, SPC, DOE, Gage R&R, and capability studies.
• Drive CAPAs, investigations, audit readiness, nonconformance reduction, and corrective actions with Quality.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma continuous-improvement initiatives and improve safety, quality, yield, productivity, and equipment uptime.
• Manage engineering projects, process transfers, manufacturing documentation, schedules, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• 6+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in medical devices or a cleanroom environment.
• Knowledge of FDA QSR, ISO standards, GMP/GDP, HSE, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, statistical tools, and data-driven process improvement.
• Strong communication, technical judgment, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required; SAP experience preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• People leadership or complex project management experience.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Experience with predictive maintenance, facility management, manufacturing flow management, and talent development.
