Sr. Manager, Engineering - Final Assembly & FLC AME (Medical Devices)

Location: Skaneateles, New York, United States. The role combines office, manufacturing, and laboratory work and may require occasional travel to manufacturing sites, customer meetings, or industry events.

Salary: $152,000–$209,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing engineers and technicians.
• Define and implement engineering roadmaps supporting products and manufacturing operations.
• Design, optimize, and transfer manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Lead cross-functional engineering projects from concept through implementation, including timelines, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation.
• Drive productivity, waste reduction, product quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Partner with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, suppliers, and customers while monitoring performance and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is beneficial.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
• Experience leading engineering teams and complex manufacturing or process-improvement projects.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality systems, FDA, ISO, cGMP, and regulated environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
• Experience with CAD software, simulation tools, manufacturing data analysis, and relevant certifications such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma.
