Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, United States; 5 days a week onsite. Candidates must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment.

Salary: $102,400–$153,600 per year, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Design manufacturing processes, procedures, production layouts, equipment installations, and material-handling systems.
• Define machine arrangements and operating sequences to improve factory efficiency and productivity.
• Specify fabrication procedures for tools and equipment and adapt equipment designs to production conditions.
• Incorporate inspection and testing requirements into production plans.
• Evaluate machinery, equipment, and tools, investigate deficiencies, and initiate corrective actions to protect product quality.
• Develop processes suitable for statistical process control and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with no required experience.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required; sponsorship is not available for roles below Principal level.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
• For bachelor’s degrees earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).

Nice to have

• Experience in a regulated industry, especially medical devices.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience with FDA Quality System Regulations, current Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or equivalent standards.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
