Senior Research Engineer (CFD)

Location: On-site in Maplewood, Minnesota, United States, with work at hirify.global Center at least four days per week. Travel may include less than 10% domestic or international travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized.

Expected compensation: $124,127–$151,710 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Lead the development and application of computational fluid dynamics models for fluid flow and heat transfer.
• Apply multiphysics modeling and simulation to material handling, energy transport, products, and processes.
• Develop and validate CFD models to identify optimal design spaces and process improvements.
• Support customer simulation engagements addressing complex fluid dynamics challenges.
• Collaborate with application engineers, scientists, process engineers, formulators, and customers on next-generation products.
• Contribute to analysis, development, and protection of intellectual property.

Requirements

• Completed and verified Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree before the start date.
• At least three years of experience in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, physics, or another science area.
• At least three years of experience in computational fluid dynamics.
• Ability to work on-site at hirify.global Center in Maplewood, Minnesota, at least four days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or another programming language.
• Knowledge of material handling, energy transport, and fluid flow.
• Understanding of high-performance computing environments.
• Experience integrating machine learning or artificial intelligence with CFD models.
• Familiarity with fluid-structure interaction and reduced-order models, plus experience collaborating with global teams and customers.
