Salary: $103,623.54–$180,181.23 projected compensation range

What you will do

• Conduct research, development, testing, evaluation, and scientific analysis of normal, hostile, and fratricide radiation environments.
• Perform radiation transport, hardening and vulnerability, and electromagnetic pulse calculations for Navy systems and personnel safety.
• Compare modeling results with experimental data and perform verification and validation of simulation models.
• Assist with radiation, electrical, and mechanical test planning and execution.
• Implement physics-based analysis models into maintainable software with software engineers.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, briefings, and presentations while interfacing directly with the customer.

Requirements

• BS with 8–10 years, MS with 6–8 years, or PhD with 3–5 years of experience in Physics or Nuclear Engineering.
• Experience with scientific and engineering simulation software, including radiation transport codes such as MCNP or Attila.
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C++ or Python.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
• Ability to work onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado; remote and telework are not allowed.
