Research and Innovation Manager (Hair Biology)

Annual base salary: $100,000–$130,000 USD

What you will do

• Build and lead research and innovation projects focused on hair biology, biological targets, mechanisms of action, and root causes.
• Identify and coordinate external laboratories and research partners for in silico, in vitro, omics, and ex vivo studies.
• Design experiments, work plans, analyses, reports, scientific presentations, posters, and manuscripts.
• Manage laboratory project timelines, milestones, proposals, statements of work, samples, supplies, documentation, and shipments.
• Evaluate research data, methodologies, laboratory procedures, investigator performance, and project roadblocks.
• Maintain project databases and records while communicating progress with internal and external partners.

Requirements

• PhD preferred; bachelor's or master's degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, nutrition, or a similar field.
• 3+ years of industry experience with expertise in cell and molecular biology.
• Academic or industry early-stage research experience is required.
• Knowledge of hair or skin biology and experience with hair models, relevant cell types, co-cultures, organoids, biomarkers, omics, and preclinical in vitro or ex vivo models.
• Track record of publications, patents, or external presentations, including preparation of scientific decks.
• Strong communication, organization, data management, project management, independent working, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience evaluating bio-actives for dietary supplements or topical and personal care applications.
