Accounting Manager

Location: Remote – United States; Brooklyn, NY or Burlington, VT

Base salary: $130,000–$165,000 USD per year

hirify.global develops technology that helps utilities and consumers use smart thermostats, electric vehicles, batteries, and other products as virtual power plants to support a cleaner and more distributed energy grid.

What you will do

• Own the month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Redesign the close process by building scalable workflows, documentation, and controls.
• Act as the escalation point for complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Coordinate with Alarm.com corporate accounting and translate reporting requirements for hirify.global.
• Partner with operations, customer success, and FP&A to provide accounting guidance and decision-support information.
• Support the multi-year ERP migration and other finance projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA license.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and close experience in a public company environment.
• Deep working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting.
• Ability to identify process gaps and build scalable solutions.
• Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience redesigning close processes or building management reporting packages from the ground up.
• Experience in SaaS, software, energy, or technology.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation or subsidiary and parent-company reporting structures.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP.
