Senior Accountant, Financial Close & Reporting

Location: Dallas, TX, United States. The role requires access to export-controlled information under applicable U.S. Government regulations.

Base salary: $98,000–$130,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits based on eligibility.

What you will do

• Own assigned month-end close activities, including complex balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and capitalized project costs.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statement support, disclosure schedules, variance analyses, operating metrics, and executive presentations.
• Operate, document, and improve SOX controls; manage walkthroughs, audit requests, testing support, remediation, and control evidence.
• Lead close operations in FloQast and NetSuite, improve cut-off procedures, and deploy automation and AI-assisted solutions for reconciliations, analyses, and exception triage.
• Research technical accounting issues, maintain balance sheet integrity, and support system implementations, process redesigns, and special projects.
• Partner with FP&A, Procurement, auditors, systems teams, and offshore or outsourced accounting teams to improve spend visibility, reporting, and operational accuracy.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a complex, multi-entity environment.
• Public-company experience with ownership of SOX 404 controls, internal and external audit coordination, walkthroughs, testing, and remediation.
• Strong knowledge of operational U.S. GAAP, including ASC 230, ASC 250, ASC 350-40, ASC 440, ASC 450, ASC Closer? 730, and ASC 720.
• Experience with multinational general ledger operations, financial statement footnotes, close discipline, and public-company reporting.
• Power-user proficiency with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems and FloQast, BlackLine, or similar close-management software; experience with SQL, Python, or comparable data tools.
• Must meet applicable U.S. export-control access requirements, including qualifying as a U.S. person or being eligible for access or required authorization.

Nice to have

• CPA license or equivalent.
• Big Four public accounting experience.
