TL;DR
Field Technician (Autonomous Vehicles): Installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing autonomous haulage technology on heavy-duty mining equipment at active open-pit sites with an accent on low-voltage electrical work, equipment diagnostics, and field deployment. Focus on troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues, making independent decisions in demanding site conditions, and supporting customer mine operations across the Middle East.

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; field-based with travel across the Middle East up to 75% of the time

What you will do

  • Install, commission, and troubleshoot autonomous retrofit kits on heavy-duty mining equipment at active open-pit sites.
  • Work on customer sites as part of deployment crews, sometimes as the sole technical presence.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and monitor equipment condition, wear, degradation, and environmental impact.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and connectivity issues in the field.
  • Support customer personnel during on-site visits and communicate with engineering teams and mine site crews.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a heavy equipment, diesel, automotive, avionics, industrial controls, military, or vehicle maintenance technician.
  • Hands-on low-voltage 12/24V DC electrical experience, including harness routing, connector termination, crimping, and sensor or actuator installation.
  • Ability to read and work from wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation drawings.
  • Ability to mobilize on 24–72 hours' notice and complete multi-week rotations with up to 75% travel across the Middle East.
  • Valid driver's license and proficiency with standard business, ticketing, documentation, and communication tools.
  • Comfort working in extreme heat or cold, dust, altitude, and shifts that include nights and weekends; able to make independent decisions with limited connectivity.
