Manager, PX, GWE, Workplace Experience Lead

Location: On-premise in Groton, Connecticut, with direct oversight of the Clinical Research Unit in New Haven, Connecticut. Occasional after-hours or weekend response, emergency site support, and periodic travel may be required.

Annual base salary: $116,000–$193,400, plus a 15% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead workplace experience and facilities services across approximately 2.5 million square feet in Groton and a 62.5K-square-foot Clinical Research Unit in New Haven.
• Coordinate soft services including cleaning, food service, shipping and receiving, events, moves, groundskeeping, laboratory services, concierge operations, and workplace services.
• Prepare and oversee annual operating expense budgets exceeding $11.9 million and manage forecasts against targets.
• Manage outsourced supplier performance, KPIs, SLAs, contract compliance, business reviews, negotiations, and sourcing initiatives.
• Lead workplace modernization, technology and workspace upgrades, emergency preparedness, business continuity, and service optimization.
• Ensure compliant service delivery in laboratories, vivarium, manufacturing, packaging, and clinical research environments.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States by any employer and have permanent U.S. work authorization.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience, master’s degree with 2+ years, PhD with 0+ years, associate’s degree with 8 years, or high school diploma with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience managing stakeholder interests and performance outcomes on a large multi-facility campus and managing outcome-based service contracts.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, CAFM/IWMS platforms such as TRIRIGA, contract administration, business principles, business law, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to oversee environmental health and safety requirements in pharmaceutical or research environments and work inside laboratories, vivarium, manufacturing, and mechanical spaces.

Nice to have

• Degree in interior design, hospitality, facility management, or a related discipline; MBA or related master’s degree.
• Pharmaceutical or research experience involving laboratories, manufacturing, and vivarium environments.
• Knowledge of FDA, GxP, AAALAC, building codes, KPIs, SLAs, and project management controls.
