ICAM Specialist (Zero Trust)

Location: Must be located in the DC Metro Area; the role requires onsite and remote support. Hybrid work with flexible work-from-home options.

Salary: $135,000–$155,000 per year

What you will do

• Deliver enterprise Identity, Credential, and Access Management support, focusing on PIV-enabled logical access across enterprise systems.
• Issue and manage PIV/PIV-I Smartcard credentials throughout their lifecycle and design, deploy, and operate Intercede MyID CMS Enterprise.
• Implement Microsoft Entra Certificate Based Authentication, Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, and Just-in-Time Privileged Access Management.
• Support Zero Trust assessments, gap analyses, roadmaps, and implementation plans for federal clients.
• Enforce device posture and application-layer access decisions using Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Palo Alto, Workspace ONE, SCCM, Intune, Purview, Qualys, and related platforms.
• Support RMF activities, security documentation, ATO maintenance, executive briefings, technical white papers, and stakeholder collaboration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering, network security, or IT infrastructure experience.
• 5+ years of Federal PKI and ICAM experience, including hands-on PIV/PIV-I Smartcard issuance and lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with Intercede MyID CMS Enterprise architecture, deployment, credential profiles, enrollment workflows, certificate provisioning, renewal, revocation, and PKI integration.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra Certificate Based Authentication and understanding of Zero Trust Architecture across all five pillars.
• Experience supporting federal government, DoD, or civilian agency environments.
• Knowledge of Entra ID, Active Directory, LDAP, PKI, MFA, PAM, endpoint compliance, cloud architectures, and SIEM/SOAR platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with Palo Alto Prisma or the Microsoft Zero Trust stack.
• CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, Cloud+, or relevant AWS/Azure security certifications.
• Zero Trust certifications such as PCCSE, PCNSE, or Microsoft SC-100.
• Familiarity with RMF, NIST SP 800-37, SSP authoring, ATO packages, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or federal IT service management.
