Senior Product Manager - Platform

Location: Hybrid role based in Toronto, Canada

Salary: CAD 120,000–170,000 per year

What you will do

• Define the platform product roadmap for video control systems, content management, metadata, personalization, and APIs.
• Keep backend platform capabilities ahead of consumer-facing application requirements.
• Partner with product, engineering, broadcast operations, programming, editorial, and production teams.
• Enable efficient publishing, management, and streaming of live and on-demand content.
• Drive end-to-end product execution using Agile XP principles and a pragmatic, entrepreneurial approach.
• Establish and monitor platform health KPIs, including buffering, startup time, bitrate, resolution, latency, and feature adoption.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years focused on platform, infrastructure, or backend systems.
• Technical fluency in video pipelines, streaming technology, content distribution workflows, CMS platforms, and personalization systems.
• Ability to translate business needs into flexible and scalable platform requirements serving multiple consumer applications.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across functions, organizational levels, and external partners.

• Interest or experience in sports, streaming, gaming, or television.
