Diesel Tech A (Heavy-Duty Fleet Maintenance): Repairing and maintaining diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment, including engines, braking systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC, suspension, and drivetrains, with an accent on advanced diagnostics and complex multi-system repairs. Focus on diagnosing electronic and aftertreatment systems, performing line maintenance and fabrication, and servicing a technically advanced refuse vehicle fleet.

What you will do
- Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks, refuse bodies, chassis, and related fleet equipment.
- Diagnose and repair engines, fuel systems, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, drivetrains, suspension, steering, and HVAC systems.
- Service air and hydraulic braking systems, electrical components, aftertreatment systems, and REGEN functions.
- Use scan tools and electronic diagnostic equipment to identify complex multi-system malfunctions.
- Perform line maintenance, welding, fabrication, inspections, and on-road repairs.
- Complete company training and support drivers by maintaining reliable route equipment.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience working as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate strong technical expertise.
- Experience performing inspections and repairs on heavy-truck or automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, drivetrains, suspension, steering, and diesel emissions.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to perform complex repairs with limited supervision and work onsite and on the road.
Nice to have
- ASE Heavy Truck Certifications T1–T8.
- LNG or CNG experience.
- Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License; preferred CDL B.
