IT Cybersecurity Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, tune, and operate SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanning, and email/web security controls.
• Administer and harden Active Directory and Entra ID, enforcing MFA, least privilege, just-in-time access, and Conditional Access.
• Run vulnerability scans, prioritize findings, coordinate remediation, and manage exceptions and compensating controls.
• Monitor alerts, investigate incidents, support incident response, and perform root cause analysis for IT systems.
• Support NIST SP 800-53 assessments, maintain the SSP and POA&M, and coordinate controls with the CMMC compliance partner.
• Manage patching, secure configuration baselines, security reviews, audit evidence, awareness training, and security integration for production lines and OT upgrades.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on IT security engineering, security operations, security engineering, or security-focused systems administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory/Entra ID and Windows or endpoint security hardening.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and/or NIST SP 800-171/CMMC.
• Experience contributing to a System Security Plan or POA&M is advantageous.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, and NIST SP 800-53, including SSP or POA&M work for OT systems.
• Experience in a defense contractor, federal contractor, or CHIPS/DoD-funded environment.
• CompTIA Security+, GSEC, CySA+, CCP, or a similar certification.
