Freelance Event Specialist (St. Louis)

Location: On-site in St. Louis, Missouri, United States; candidates must already be based in St. Louis. No relocation packages are offered.

What you will do

• Prepare for events through virtual planning meetings with corporate, nonprofit, venue, and hirify.global partners.
• Set up, coordinate, and break down in-person events, including cleaning sites, packing supplies, applying shipping labels, and loading boxes.
• Act as the onsite hirify.global representative, coordinating hosts, nonprofit organizations, venues, staff, and corporate partners.
• Manage guest check-in and deliver a welcoming, high-quality customer experience.
• Resolve missing supplies, staffing, technology, and other operational issues, escalating when necessary.
• Send event updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team.

Requirements

• Fluent English and strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Must be based in St. Louis, Missouri.
• Experience executing complex large-scale events and intimate executive-level events.
• Strong organization, resourcefulness, flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to solve problems under pressure.
• Experience with group facilitation, group dynamics, customer relationships, and large crowds.
• Availability for flexible hours, including nights and weekends, local travel, extended standing, and lifting, sliding, or carrying up to 30 lbs.
