Assistant Store Manager (Retail)

Location: New York City, United States; in-store role with weekend and holiday availability required.

Salary: $56,250–$65,000 per year, plus potential commission, bonus, geographic premium, and equity awards.

What you will do

• Provide leadership support in the General Manager's absence and partner on store sales goals.
• Manage the full client lifecycle, build relationships, and achieve sales targets using company programs and tools.
• Create client floor plans and design presentations, and educate clients on product stories and details.
• Maintain design and visual merchandising standards.
• Travel for in-home consultations and visits to local trade professionals.
• Directly manage Sales Assistants and Studio Interns, including coaching, training, and talent acquisition support.

Requirements

• Retail management experience is preferred.
• Ability to build relationships and trust with direct reports, peers, and studio clients.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web navigation, and 3-D rendering programs.
• Ability to routinely move objects weighing more than 40 pounds and follow safety requirements.
• Weekend and holiday availability is required.
