Backend Engineer (Java) - Trading

Location: Asia; remote

Binance operates a global blockchain ecosystem spanning cryptocurrency trading, finance, payments, institutional services, and Web3 products.

What you will do

• Convert business requirements into reliable backend services with meaningful automated tests.
• Build and maintain high-throughput distributed applications.
• Proactively tune performance and troubleshoot production incidents.
• Write and maintain high-quality technical documentation and code.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 4 years of professional experience building high-throughput distributed applications.
• Strong knowledge of core Java and the Spring Framework.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and familiarity with at least one NoSQL database.
• Strong understanding of distributed system design and familiarity with messaging middleware.
• Bilingual English and Mandarin communication is required; ability to collaborate across different time zones.

Nice to have

• Performance tuning experience involving the JVM, SQL, or RPC.
• Experience in KYC or compliance.
