Employment Services Advisor / Solicitor (Employment Law)

Location: Croydon, UK; hybrid working with a minimum of one day per week in the Croydon office and home working for the remainder of the week.

What you will do

• Provide pragmatic, commercially focused employment law advice by telephone.
• Advise employers on disciplinary matters, grievances, dismissals, absence management, performance issues, and employee relations.
• Manage a busy and varied caseload of client enquiries and respond within agreed service levels.
• Build trusted client relationships and deliver high-quality customer service.
• Work with colleagues across the Employment Advice Line and support other employment teams when required.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation.

Requirements

• Strong employment law experience from private practice, an advice line, consultancy, or an in-house environment.
• Experience advising on a broad range of employment law matters.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, client relationship, and customer service skills.
• Confidence providing advice over the telephone and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for hybrid working with at least one day per week in the Croydon office.

Nice to have

• Qualified Solicitor status, preferably in England and Wales.
• Qualification in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
• Active progression towards legal qualification if not yet qualified.
