Staff Architect (f/m/d) - AI Agent Platform

What you will do

• Design and evolve the architecture of a large-scale distributed AI Agent platform for extensive customer bases and massive data volumes.
• Define the technology roadmap, architectural standards, technical direction, and interfaces across development teams.
• Evaluate modern web technologies, AI foundational platforms, agent workflow platforms, and builder frameworks.
• Design agent interaction, information-sharing, autonomous action triggering, and Human-in-the-Loop mechanisms.
• Develop agent knowledge components using Retrieval-Augmented Generation, vector databases, and distributed databases.
• Provide technical guidance, mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and track advances in agentic AI.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems and high-traffic customer-facing applications.
• Deep understanding of AI foundational technologies, agent workflow platforms, builder frameworks, RAG, vector databases, and distributed database architectures.
• Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art AI models and agentic frameworks through projects, prototypes, or published work.
• Proficiency with containerization, Kubernetes, and deployment on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to evaluate technologies, explain trade-offs, translate ambiguous user needs into architectures, and communicate with stakeholders at different seniority levels.
• Experience leading by example, mentoring engineers, and establishing architectural standards in fast-moving product environments.

Nice to have

• Experience in technology or software companies, FinTech, e-commerce, cloud services, SaaS, AI, or automation.
• A track record of advancing projects despite uncertainty, resource constraints, or stakeholder hesitation.
