AI Platform Developer (m/f/d)

Location: Garching, Bavaria, Germany; hybrid work with most office-based roles onsite three days a week. Travel up to 25% may be required.

What you will do

• Develop, deploy, maintain, and evolve enterprise AI platform components, services, APIs, and integrations.
• Implement MLOps and LLMOps processes covering model deployment, monitoring, versioning, lifecycle management, and operational governance.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, infrastructure-as-code solutions, and deployment processes for AI workloads.
• Ensure platform security, scalability, reliability, observability, performance, access management, and compliance.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot production issues, perform validation and readiness assessments, and drive operational improvements.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, security teams, data engineers, platform engineers, and application developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, plus 6+ years of relevant platform, cloud, or software engineering experience.
• Strong experience developing and operating cloud-native platforms with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or similar enterprise cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps, LLMOps, CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, and production deployments.
• Strong understanding of platform security, identity and access management, observability, monitoring, and security-by-design principles.
• Knowledge of data governance, enterprise integration patterns, APIs, and scalable AI and data platform architectures.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Garching, Germany setup and travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise AI platforms, agent-based systems, retrieval-augmented generation, or generative AI workloads.
• Certifications in Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, DevOps, security, or related cloud technologies.
• Experience with vector databases, AI orchestration frameworks, model serving platforms, and modern AI development ecosystems.
• Experience working in large global organizations with distributed engineering and operations teams.
