Senior Backend Engineer (Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Logistics)

What you will do

• Own ambiguous, high-impact backend problems from technical strategy through implementation, testing, and production operation.
• Design, develop, and deploy critical systems for logistics centers, making architectural decisions that support scale.
• Build and evolve a warehouse management system for orders, products, physical entities, and workflow management.
• Improve reliability and quality through testing, code reviews, technical mentorship, and engineering guidance.
• Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Warehouse Abilities, Returns, Inbound, and Warehouse Algorithms.
• Scale core logistics systems to additional facilities and significantly higher throughput.

Requirements

• Professional experience with JVM-based languages, especially Java and Kotlin.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into technical solutions and work autonomously.
• Experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems, including API specifications, architecture patterns, and testing practices.
• Experience with data structures, SQL, NoSQL, logical replication, and synchronizing multiple architectures.
• Experience combining transactional data sources with analytical workloads, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with hirify.global's Warehouse Management System (Zalos) and Unit Lifecycle mechanics.
