Derivatives and Structured Products Associate

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with up to 40% from home and 60% in the office

What you will do

• Advise clients on on-balance-sheet and off-balance-sheet structured products programmes.
• Work on securitised and OTC derivatives, hedging arrangements, structured repos, and securities lending transactions.
• Advise on repackagings and related regulatory matters.
• Develop technical knowledge of relevant legal principles and monitor legal developments.
• Manage matters, deadlines, budgets, time recording, and client communications.
• Build effective relationships with clients and colleagues while contributing to an international debt capital markets and structured finance team.

Requirements

• Experience as a derivatives and structured products lawyer, ideally gained at a top-tier firm.
• One to three years of post-qualification experience or equivalent experience.
• Strong academic background and excellent written communication and drafting skills.
• Outstanding technical legal skills and commercial awareness.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, project management, and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues in a team environment.
