IT Intern (Infrastructure)

Location: Plymouth, Michigan, United States; onsite 40 hours per week

hirify.global operates in the automotive manufacturing industry and provides an infrastructure-focused IT internship within its Central Tech Unit.

What you will do

• Document infrastructure services processes, knowledge articles, inventories, standards, and support procedures across hosting, networking, field services, ITSM, and conference room technology.
• Gather, analyze, and report operational and service data using Microsoft Excel, SharePoint Lists, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Support infrastructure projects involving server and hosting documentation, network inventories, site readiness, hardware refresh planning, and process improvements.
• Track endpoint devices, peripherals, site support needs, device lifecycles, printers, software deployment, patching, and SCCM-related activities.
• Support threat and vulnerability documentation, reporting, remediation follow-up, and infrastructure security hygiene.
• Coordinate with infrastructure engineers, network teams, field services, service desk teams, vendors, internal customers, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Available to work up to 40 hours per week onsite during the internship period.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Strong Microsoft skills, including Excel, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive.
• Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, communication, collaboration, and project coordination skills.
• Interest in infrastructure services, endpoint support, SCCM, ITSM, service desk operations, conference room support, and threat and vulnerability management.

Nice to have

• Experience with SharePoint Lists, basic reporting, or Power Automate.
