The Lion Hotel Worksop is part of Frasers Group and operates a hotel with bedrooms, conference suites, a function room, bar, and restaurant.

What you will do

• Prepare, cook, and deliver food according to dish specifications and quality standards.
• Lead, motivate, coach, and develop the kitchen team.
• Maintain food safety, health and safety, fire, security, and compliance standards.
• Review department performance, audits, stock results, and compliance documentation with the Kitchen Manager.
• Manage purchasing, costs, budgets, and revenue streams across the restaurant, bar, and functions.
• Monitor guest complaints and feedback, improve kitchen operations, and complete opening and closing procedures.

Requirements

• Experienced chef with a Level 2 NVQ in Professional Cookery.
• Strong understanding of cooking and passion for food.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Highly organised, confident, self-motivated, energetic, and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Previous responsibility for purchasing.
