Field Practice Lead - Oil & Gas

Location: Centennial, Colorado, United States

Salary: $186,900–$308,300 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentives.

What you will do

• Develop and execute strategic business plans for the oil and gas specialty practice, supporting profitability, growth, and retention.
• Monitor field execution and underwriting standards, adjusting strategies based on financial and operational results.
• Provide specialized underwriting and pricing guidance for complex, high-risk, and difficult-to-close deals.
• Influence product strategy, portfolio assessments, regulatory support, and corporate underwriting resources.
• Recruit, coach, train, develop, and manage performance for specialty practice talent.
• Engage distribution agents and specialists while collaborating with regional leadership to improve production results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, MBA, or master’s degree.
• At least 10 years of underwriting experience.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong general management background with P&L accountability.
• Thorough understanding of specialty business insurance, industry trends, products, services, and financial drivers.
• Ability to influence and execute strategy, drive change, and operate effectively in a matrix organization.
