Senior DevOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Fully remote, with about 5 hours of overlap with UTC+2 to UTC+4.

A bootstrapped, profitable SaaS company building a practice management platform for accounting firms, with around 400 fully remote employees across 40+ countries.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate reliable production infrastructure for a high-load SaaS platform across development, staging, and production environments.
• Develop and operate the Kubernetes-based platform on Amazon EKS, including networking, security, scaling, and capacity management.
• Maintain Terraform infrastructure as code and build CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI and Helm.
• Improve system architecture, availability, performance, fault tolerance, observability, and SLO-driven monitoring.
• Handle incident response, root-cause analysis, postmortems, and preventive actions in production.
• Partner with development teams and drive automation, standardization, security, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Experience as a DevOps Engineer or SRE, including end-to-end ownership of projects.
• Recent hands-on experience managing production infrastructure on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of managed Kubernetes, including cluster deployment, configuration, and administration.
• Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience building CI/CD for large projects with quality gates using GitLab CI or a similar tool.
• Fluent Russian and B1+ English required.

Nice to have

• Practical experience using AI in infrastructure work.
• Experience with AWS services including VPC, IAM, EKS, RDS, OpenSearch, CloudWatch, ElastiCache, CloudFront, and Secrets Manager.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, Cloudflare, Unix/Linux, or related platform technologies.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes Autoscaler, Karpenter, Prometheus Stack, VictoriaMetrics, Datadog, or AWS CloudWatch.
