Assistant Packaging Manager (Packaging)

Location: Alexandria, Egypt. Travel required 30–40% of the time.

What you will do

• Lead the packaging workstream for key innovation, redesign, and packaging development projects in Egypt and the PAMET region.
• Develop and design packaging according to packaging action standards for different materials.
• Create, develop, and complete packaging specifications and Packaging & Palletisation specifications in the company data system.
• Coordinate with global, regional, and local business teams, factories, third-party copackers, and packaging suppliers.
• Share inspirational packaging designs and developments with global, regional, and local teams.
• Support packaging sustainability and net-zero targets in cooperation with the Global Packaging Excellence Lead.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a packaging engineer, developer, or designer.
• Experience with paper and board, flexible, and aseptic packaging materials.
• Fluent English required.
• At least 1 year of experience in FMCG or retail.
• Bachelor’s degree in packaging materials, engineering, design, or an equivalent field.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of teabag materials and technologies.
• Awareness of business concepts such as cost of goods and gross margins.
