Junior Software Engineer (Machine Learning and Streaming Infrastructure)

Build technology for hirify.global’s fashion commerce platform, including infrastructure that protects customers and business operations from risks and abuse.

What you will do

• Contribute to projects influencing inventory management and risk mitigation.
• Build and maintain machine learning and streaming infrastructure for real-time risk discovery, assessment, and mitigation.
• Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders on strategy, roadmaps, backlogs, and scalable solutions.
• Support the end-to-end development lifecycle from discovery through execution.
• Help define team processes and promote an inclusive, diverse working environment.

Requirements

• Solid foundation in software engineering and a strong interest in backend development.
• Proficiency in a Java-based programming language, such as Kotlin, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting practices for operating complex systems at scale.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Curiosity about machine learning infrastructure, simulations, and improving technical accuracy and efficiency.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PHP.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQLite, or Presto/Trino.
