Location: Gelang Patah, Johor, Malaysia; full-time onsite role with approximately 10%–25% travel.

What you will do
- Manage project portfolios and maintain efficient progression through governance processes.
- Partner with project engineers, project leads, and leadership to track status, identify risks, close data gaps, and support timely decisions.
- Use Smartsheet and Power BI to monitor project performance, prepare dashboards, and provide portfolio updates.
- Improve governance workflows, reporting, automation, templates, standards, and portfolio controls.
- Train and coach project leads on project intake, stage gates, data entry, reporting cadence, and closeout procedures.
- Coordinate with the global PME Governance team and collaborate across engineering, programs, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, including Plastics, Mechanical, Manufacturing/Industrial, Biomedical, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated development of governance or project management systems and at least 2 years of direct project management experience.
- Four or more years of experience in project management, operations, engineering, or a related function is preferred.
- Experience managing projects from feasibility through launch, including supply chain projects from concept to production.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and native-language communication skills.
- Ability to manage project data, financial and resource requirements, timelines, risks, and cross-functional commitments.
Nice to have
- Experience managing suppliers of custom precision components for medical devices.
- Six Sigma or Lean experience.
- Experience with capital project financial management.
- Experience authoring and overseeing IQ/OQ/PQ protocols for component manufacturing processes and secondary operations.
- Experience with Power Apps, Microsoft products, Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar data management tools.
