Product Applications Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan; onsite role with travel to the USA and other locations up to 30% of the time.

What you will do

• Develop applications and performance processes for laser anneal tools in close collaboration with customers.
• Create, maintain, and drive adoption of best known methods for process control, process development, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain working knowledge of laser anneal system processes, hardware, and diagnostics to improve system performance.
• Investigate process problems, coordinate with service and engineering teams, and drive solutions.
• Present product technology to customers and sales channels and provide customer training on system operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with service, sales, manufacturing, supply chain, and product-line teams on technical and revenue objectives.

Requirements

• MS degree in material science, chemistry, physics, or engineering with at least 2 years of related experience, or a relevant PhD with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices, module processes, and process integration in logic or memory fabrication is preferred.
• Understanding of Rapid Thermal Processing or implant processes is desirable.
• Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and self-motivation skills.
• Good spoken and written English is required.
• Ability to travel to the USA and other locations up to 30% of the time.
