D2C Accounting Specialist (SAP)

Location: Shanghai, China; hybrid work with an average of 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Manage accounts receivable for China’s direct-to-consumer e-commerce and retail business.
• Set up AR solutions and support SAP processing for new channels.
• Reconcile platform settlements and resolve exceptions through root-cause analysis and professional judgment.
• Translate business requirements into effective finance and AR solutions.
• Support the Douyin B2C go-live and stabilization.
• Strengthen AR financial controls and build expertise in China D2C finance, SAP, and platform-specific retail AR.

Requirements

• 8+ years of overall professional experience, including 5+ years of relevant e-commerce or retail AR experience.
• Solid accounts receivable experience in e-commerce, retail, or another consumer-facing business.
• Experience with Chinese e-commerce platforms.
• Strong process-improvement, variance-analysis, problem-solving, ownership, and accountability skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with regulatory compliance and business reporting.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Experience with data analytics, automation, and process digitization tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, VBA, or Python.
