Senior Network Production Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA; Bellevue, WA; or Sunnyvale, CA, United States

Salary: $165,000–$200,000 annually plus bonus and restricted stock units

What you will do

• Execute network deployments for data center and edge sites, from rack-and-stack through final cutover.
• Translate architecture designs into cable maps, port assignments, device configurations, and deployment runbooks.
• Develop Python, Ansible, and zero-touch provisioning workflows for automated switch and router staging, configuration, and validation.
• Configure and troubleshoot Arista, Juniper, and NVIDIA/Mellanox leaf-spine fabrics using BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and LLDP.
• Coordinate with cabling vendors, remote hands, and data center providers to resolve physical-layer, power, cooling, and fiber issues.
• Support acceptance testing, inventory and capacity tracking, operational handoffs, and on-call incident response.

Requirements

• 5+ years of network engineering experience focused on large-scale data center deployments and infrastructure projects.
• Experience with structured cabling, SMF/MMF, MPO/MTP, 400G/800G optics, and data center power and cooling requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Arista EOS, Juniper Junos, NVIDIA/Mellanox platforms, and leaf-spine architectures.
• Working knowledge of BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and LLDP.
• Proficiency in Python and Ansible, plus experience diagnosing physical and link-layer issues with OTDRs, light meters, and packet captures.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience in hyperscale or ISP environments.

Nice to have

• Experience in hyperscale, ISP, or large multi-tenant data center environments.
• GPU cluster networking experience with RDMA/RoCE, InfiniBand, or NVIDIA NCCL-aware fabric design.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, telemetry-based fabric health checks, or vendor certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or Arista ACE.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or contributing to deployment standards and documentation.
