Roadway Design Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States, with occasional travel to the primary location in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania

What you will do

• Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections for local, county, and state roadway and highway projects.
• Prepare design documentation, plans, reports, and quantity calculations.
• Perform geometric analyses, engineering calculations, estimates, and design reviews.
• Collect and process topographic survey and right-of-way engineering data for design analysis.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes, engineering practices, and quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide leadership and oversight for design tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least four years of transportation engineering experience focused on highway or roadway design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
• Ability to work remotely from within the United States and travel occasionally to the primary location as needed.
• Ability to complete pre-employment substance screening and background checks.

Nice to have

• Experience working in Georgia with GDOT standards.
• Georgia Professional Engineer license.
