Mental Health Therapist - 1099 Contractor - California

Location: Remote, US; must have office space and the ability to see clients in California. In-person care delivery is strongly preferred.

What you will do

• Provide culturally responsive, evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
• Support clients across a broad spectrum of mental health needs, including complex and severe presentations.
• Apply evidence-based treatments such as ACT, CBT, CPT, and DBT.
• Use clinical best practices, including measurement-based care and skills practice.
• Manage clinical risk and respond to client crises when needed.
• Provide care through an independent private or group practice, with administrative and billing support from Lyra.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree from a clinical track, such as MSW, MFT, MC, MMHC, PhD, or PsyD.
• Unrestricted LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent independent license with no current, past, or pending disciplinary action.
• Experience providing evidence-based treatment and following clinical best practices.
• Ability to provide care to children, adults, couples, and/or families.
• Experience managing clinical risk and responding to clinical crises.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have office space suitable for seeing clients in California.
