VP Product Manager – Advisory Platforms

What you will do

• Shape the strategy and vision for advisory platforms and translate it into roadmaps, requirements, prioritized backlogs, and delivered capabilities.
• Lead the build-out of tax overlay capabilities, including tax-loss harvesting, gain/loss budgeting, transition management, wash sale handling, tax-aware rebalancing, and client-level tax preferences.
• Drive PI planning and delivery with technology partners, managing dependencies, risks, commitments, and execution priorities.
• Own advisory platform vendor relationships, including evaluation, selection, roadmap alignment, performance management, escalations, RFPs, and build-versus-buy analysis.
• Design operating models, workflows, controls, and disclosures with Advisory Programs, OPMG, Model Management, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and other partners.
• Define KPIs and executive-ready reporting covering tax overlay adoption, asset growth, and advisor-facing outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in product management, management consulting, investment management, or program and project management, preferably in financial services or fintech.
• 5+ years leading cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, including PI planning and delivery with technology partners.
• 5+ years of experience with advisory or managed account platforms, advisor workflows, trading and rebalancing, or UMA/SMA structures.
• Experience with tax overlay, tax-managed, or tax-aware portfolio management capabilities is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial services regulations, executive communication, vendor management, and data-driven decision-making.
