Senior Engineer (Observability/Data Platform)

What you will do

• Build new systems and enhance existing high-performance, low-maintenance, zero-downtime platforms and applications.
• Lead project execution and technical roadmaps that improve product delivery velocity and expand engineering capabilities.
• Provide technical and thought leadership across observability and data platform domains.
• Collaborate with product managers, customers, sponsors, and engineering teams to solve complex technical problems.
• Own solution quality, usability, performance, operational support, and on-call responsibilities.
• Coach junior engineers, share best practices, and support continuous learning and process improvement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience with a modern programming language such as C++, Java, Python, or Go.
• 3+ years of experience with architecture and design, plus experience building complex distributed systems and large-scale telemetry platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps pipelines, Helm charts, and cloud-native environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, developer tooling, data structures, algorithms, and quantitative problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead projects and interact regularly with clients and sponsors.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent education or work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with APISIX or other API gateways.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
