AI-Native Senior Software Engineer II

Location: Remote within the United States or Canada

Salary: $118,500–$216,500 USD for US candidates; $171,500–$201,000 CAD for Canadian candidates. Total compensation also includes RSUs and benefits.

What you will do

• Ship end-to-end features across backend services, APIs, iOS, and Android surfaces.
• Use AI coding tools and agentic workflows for analysis, coding, testing, refactoring, reviews, and documentation.
• Define AI-native engineering practices and publish playbooks for the Verticals organization.
• Build reliable, performant experiences for the Aging in Place segment and adapt patterns for Things and Pets.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and platform engineers on scalable solutions.
• Own production operations, including architecture, code reviews, on-call response, performance, reliability, accessibility, and mentoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating high-quality, consumer-scale services.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience prompting, evaluating, and building with LLMs.
• Full-stack proficiency across backend services and native iOS and/or Android development.
• Experience with agentic workflows, prompt engineering, context window management, and MCP/function calling.
• Backend experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and Kafka Streams; familiarity with AWS and mobile development using Swift or Kotlin.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, with strong ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.
