What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems for Databricks workspaces.
• Build a high-QPS, low-latency platform for serving workspace assets.
• Debug low-level systems, measure performance, and optimize large production clusters.
• Design architectures, influence product roadmaps, and own complex technical projects.
• Introduce automation and operability tools while preventing and investigating production issues.
• Lead cross-team projects and mentor engineers through technical guidance, sprint planning, and delegation.

Requirements

• 15+ years of industry experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures, including practical real-world applications.
• Experience working toward a multi-year technical vision with incremental deliverables.
• Experience driving initiatives focused on customer value and satisfaction.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
