Sales Onboarding Advocate

Location: Hybrid in Atlanta, Denver, or Phoenix, United States. Hybrid employees are expected to work from the office approximately 2–3 days per week or more depending on the role.

Salary: $23.00–$24.50 per hour in Denver, Phoenix, and Atlanta.

What you will do

• Guide small business owners through onboarding and running their first payroll via phone and email.
• Manage a high-volume ticket queue and resolve customer setup issues.
• Identify plan upgrades and cross-sell health insurance, workers’ compensation, and 401(k) products.
• Diagnose tax discrepancies, troubleshoot state portals, and make compliance decisions across all 50 states.
• Configure sick time, paid time off, and overtime policies, escalating complex cases to specialists and collaborating with Risk.
• Use assigned AI tools daily, identify workflow friction, and provide feedback to improve tools and processes.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume sales or customer service role involving cross-selling, upselling, quotas, or KPIs; new graduates with relevant internship or work experience are also considered.
• Strong communication skills across phone, email, and chat.
• Ability to learn payroll, tax codes, and compliance rules and apply them to customer situations.
• Consultative, customer-focused approach with the ability to build trust and explain product impacts.
• Goal-oriented, adaptable, and effective at solving unfamiliar problems.
• Proven day-to-day experience integrating AI into writing, research, preparation, and summarization, with the ability to provide useful feedback.
