Clinical Sample Handling Specialist

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States; onsite. Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with flexibility after training to meet workload requirements.

What you will do

• Prepare, label, verify, reconcile, and document clinical samples for shipment according to standard processes and client specifications.
• Prepare sample tracking paperwork, manifests, deviation reports, and cover letters.
• Pack and ship biological samples domestically and internationally in accordance with regulatory requirements and IATA guidelines.
• Manage sample handling activities for assigned studies and communicate with clinical and laboratory stakeholders.
• Cross-check teammate work and perform process audits.
• Work in a clinical and laboratory environment with exposure to biological and biohazardous materials.

Requirements

• Post-high-school education in life sciences or medical training preferred.
• Current IATA Shipping Certification required.
• Professional communication skills for interaction with staff and clients.
• Microsoft Office and Outlook proficiency.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when workload requirements demand additional hours.

Nice to have

• Clinical conduct experience or biological sample inventory experience.
