Operations Research Analyst (C5ISR)

Location: St. Inigoes, Maryland; hybrid schedule with several days per week in the office. Candidates must currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance of 50 miles.

Salary: $89,000–$129,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Formulate mathematical models, optimization techniques, and analytical methods for management decision-making and policy formulation.
• Collect, organize, analyze, and interpret operational, programmatic, and technical data.
• Develop decision-support software, services, tools, analytical products, reports, visualizations, and presentations.
• Build time, cost, resource, and logistics models and networks for program planning, evaluation, and implementation.
• Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for management, technical stakeholders, program stakeholders, and Government customers.
• Support data sharing, net-centricity, collaboration, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making for C5ISR mission requirements.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 4 additional years of relevant experience, or 6 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience applying analytical, mathematical, statistical, operations research, or optimization techniques.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support organizational or program decisions.
• Ability to develop analytical methodologies and translate findings into actionable information.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, collaboration, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Department of Defense or other Government programs.
• Experience with mathematical modeling, optimization, simulation, forecasting, or operations research.
• Experience developing decision-support tools, analytical products, data visualizations, or reporting tools.
• Experience with time, cost, resource, logistics, data-sharing, or net-centric information environments.
• Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
