Security Specialist (Cloud Data Security)

Salary: $275,000–$300,000 USD per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Act as the security overlay for AMER opportunities, supporting security, privacy, compliance, deployment-model, and BYOC discussions.
• Lead technical conversations with CISOs, security architects, and GRC teams.
• Design and validate secure ClickHouse Cloud and BYOC architectures covering network isolation, private connectivity, encryption, customer-managed keys, identity federation, and granular access control.
• Run threat modelling and architecture reviews, owning the security workstream through proof of concept and production readiness.
• Support compliance discussions involving SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, FedRAMP, CMMC, CCPA, and CPRA.
• Improve security questionnaires, RFP responses, DPIAs, third-party risk reviews, and internal security enablement for Solutions Architects and Account Executives.

Requirements

• Significant customer-facing technical experience at a data platform, analytics, streaming, or database company.
• Deep understanding of data architecture and cloud and data security.
• Expertise in IAM, key management, cryptography, network isolation, secure multi-tenancy, threat modelling, and audit.
• Working knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS, with familiarity with US public-sector and privacy requirements.
• Ability to communicate credibly with CISOs, security architects, and other security buyers.
• Must be based in the United States for this role.
