Senior Manager, Data Analytics

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas, United States — Bentonville Home Office

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

Walmart operates a large retail and ecommerce business, with Decision Sciences teams developing scalable data-driven solutions for customers, operations, and supply chains.

What you will do

• Lead data strategy initiatives that improve data accessibility, governance, quality, and monetization.
• Identify and evaluate data sources against business requirements and service-level agreements.
• Translate complex business challenges into data-driven solutions using advanced analytics and automation.
• Design data visualizations that communicate insights and support stakeholder decision-making.
• Develop data quality processes covering profiling, cleansing, and monitoring.
• Mentor analytics professionals and collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, master’s degree plus 2 years, or 6 years of relevant experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Experience with data analytics, big data techniques, and automation methods.
• Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, Python-based visualization libraries, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of data quality management, data governance, enterprise data architecture, exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, and data profiling.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convert business requirements into actionable data strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience in retail, merchandising, healthcare, ecommerce, or a related industry.
• Experience with Spark, Scala, R, or additional business intelligence and scripting tools.
• Master’s degree in a relevant analytical, business, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or information technology field.
