Electrician Helper - East Springfield, MA

Location: East Springfield, Massachusetts, United States. Candidates must live within 30 minutes of the reporting location and may be required to report to job sites, work outside the assigned district, and respond to emergencies at other locations.

Salary: Starting at $34.15 per hour, progressing according to the union contract.

What you will do

• Support electrical work in the Substation and Maintenance Department.
• Perform outdoor work in inclement weather and at job sites.
• Work designated shifts, including possible Saturdays and four ten-hour workweeks.
• Perform overtime and emergency restoration work as required.
• Respond to emergency situations outside normal responsibilities, work hours, and locations.

Requirements

• Must live within 30 minutes of the reporting location in East Springfield, Massachusetts.
• Must hold a valid Massachusetts Journeyman's Electrician license or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and CDL with Hazmat endorsement, or the ability to obtain them.
• Ability to pass the CAST test.
• Ability to work overtime, emergency assignments, shifts, Saturdays, outdoors, and outside the assigned district.
• Visa sponsorship is not available. Applicants requiring immigration-related sponsorship will not be considered.
