TL;DR
Associate Investment Operations Analyst (Investment Operations): Support day-to-day middle office operations across the trade lifecycle and client reporting with an accent on accurate trade verification, reconciliation, and settlement across multiple asset classes. Focus on processing corporate actions and collateral/cash activity while generating operational reports and supporting compliance and audit documentation.
Location: On-site in Minneapolis, MN (minimum 3 days/week)
Salary: $57,947.00 - $78,398.00 per year

What you will do
- Provide operational support for equity, fixed income, derivatives, private equity, and investment strategy transactions, including trade verification/affirmation/settlement.
- Reconcile trades, positions, and cash balances across asset classes; monitor and escalate discrepancies or breaks.
- Maintain accurate investment data in internal systems and portfolio accounting platforms; support operational updates.
- Process corporate actions, income collections, variation margins, collateral, and settlements with proper reconciliation.
- Communicate time-sensitive information to portfolio managers, traders, brokers, custodians, and fund accountants; coordinate with external partners to resolve issues.
- Support reporting and compliance activities by generating operational dashboards/reports and assisting with audit and internal review documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related area.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and data management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- On-site requirement: work in Minneapolis, MN at least 3 days per week.
Nice to have
- Basic understanding of investment instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives) and trade lifecycle concepts.
- Internship experience in finance, accounting, or investment operations.
- Experience with software used to assemble, evaluate, interpret, and analyze financial data.
