Senior IT Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid model with three days per week onsite

Salary: $165,000–$175,000 annual base compensation, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Optimize core enterprise cloud applications covering messaging, storage, identity management, governance, and collaboration.
• Automate business processes and IT workflows through APIs, iPaaS tools, and scalable application integrations.
• Secure endpoints, conduct user access audits, define data privacy processes, and evaluate data loss prevention and disaster recovery tools.
• Automate laptop patching and vulnerability management while providing Tier 2 support for IT incidents.
• Design granular access models for Okta, GitHub, engineering platforms, and business applications, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and periodic access reviews.
• Maintain architecture diagrams and process documentation, mentor junior team members, and help define the technical vision for the IT team.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience implementing, managing, and customizing Google Workspace, Slack, JIRA, Notion, Linear, or similar corporate applications.
• Experience with Okta, JAMF, Intune, integration platforms, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and scripting languages such as Google Apps Script, GAM, Python, Java, or PHP.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Strong documentation skills, including translating complex systems into architecture diagrams and business process flows.
• Ability to work onsite in the San Francisco office three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with RPA tools such as Automation Anywhere or Blue Prism.
• Experience implementing AI tools such as Gemini or Claude.
• Experience scaling IT in a hyper-growth startup environment.
