Senior Payroll Specialist, EMEA (Poland)

Location: Remote; posted under Poland, but open to candidates across all hirify.global locations. Candidates currently working onsite or remotely may maintain their current location.

What you will do

• Own complex, high-risk, and multi-country payroll operations across EMEA.
• Process Polish payroll end to end, including off-cycle payments, adjustments, final pay calculations, filings, and reports.
• Validate payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and interpret payroll policies and statutory requirements across jurisdictions.
• Maintain and audit payroll records covering tax withholdings, benefits, and direct deposits.
• Support payroll system upgrades, integrations, configuration, and standardized workflow rollouts.
• Drive payroll harmonization, process improvements, automation opportunities, and procedural documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business, or at least 7 years of relevant payroll experience.
• At least 5 years of experience processing complex Polish payroll end to end.
• Expert knowledge of payroll operations, statutory requirements, and multi-country payroll environments.
• Expertise with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot payroll issues and implement solutions.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Polish are required.

• Additional European language skills.
• Experience in data reconciliation and payroll auditing.
• Experience communicating with employees and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.
