Principal, Technology and Cyber Risk Management

Location: Tempe, AZ; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship

Salary: $108,965–$185,155 USD per year, plus potential discretionary bonus and equity component

What you will do

• Identify, assess, and reduce emerging technology and cybersecurity risks across AI, digital assets, quantum computing, cloud/SaaS, and identity and access management.
• Review and challenge technology strategies, initiatives, and architectures from an independent risk perspective.
• Conduct technology and cybersecurity risk assessments, deep dives, testing activities, operational exercises, and incident response support.
• Design testing tools, risk assessment frameworks, dashboards, metrics, and executive-level reporting.
• Partner with stakeholders to define remediation plans, manage deliverables, and monitor initiative outcomes.
• Provide mentorship, cross-training, and technology and cybersecurity risk awareness support.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in a highly regulated technical or security-related field.
• Current CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or equivalent professional certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information technology, management information systems, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Expertise in emerging cybersecurity and technology risks, application security, infrastructure security, and technology risk assessments.
• Experience challenging first-line technology teams and advising senior management in large, highly regulated financial services organizations.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available.

• Advanced degree in IT or a related field.
• Background in security consulting or senior advisory roles.
• Experience scoping engagements and developing technical or risk-focused proposals.
