RF/Microwave Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Syracuse-W, NY, United States; onsite role

Salary: $51,621–$81,595 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium for eligible alternative shifts.

What you will do

• Design and simulate RF/microwave components, circuits, and test circuits for military and space-based products.
• Develop test procedures, test stations, and data reduction software with test engineering and engineering technicians.
• Prepare design-release reviews and presentations for gated design reviews.
• Analyze simulation results, tolerances, and test data to correlate expected and measured performance.
• Evaluate manufacturing approaches and limitations, follow established design processes, and support the Material Review Board process.
• Present technical results clearly and concisely.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Strong coursework in physics and mathematics; electromagnetics coursework is preferred.
• Basic knowledge and strong interest in microwave theory.
• Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and apply structured problem-solving.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD, HFSS, circuit simulation and modeling tools, Microsoft Office, and MATLAB.
• Access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.

Nice to have

• 3D modeling experience.
