Research Computing Analyst (AI/ML)

hirify.global is a university research institution whose Department of Psychiatry conducts research in brain health, neuroscience, and biomedical computing.

What you will do

• Implement established machine-learning, artificial-intelligence, and statistical methods in research datasets.
• Prepare, quality-control, and extract features from large-scale research data.
• Integrate multimodal datasets and modify existing code to support compatibility and processing.
• Run and maintain computational workflows on local and high-performance computing systems.
• Troubleshoot routine code, data-processing, and workflow issues, escalating new problems to senior researchers.
• Document code changes, analytical procedures, software versions, testing results, and computational outputs.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and at least one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong programming skills and experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or advanced statistical modelling.
• Ability to work with high-dimensional or complex biomedical, biological, or scientific datasets.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form and collaborate with the research team.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion and respect for diverse perspectives.

Nice to have

• Degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, computational biology, biomedical engineering, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Experience analysing human neuroimaging MRI data.
